I am using the Evah Pirazzi strings on my exquisite Paul Claudot French
bass, ca. 1840 and my Kay Model S plywood bass as well. They have
answered a dream I have had after more than 30 years as a professional
jazz bassist.
Despite the claims of all sorts of string manufacturers to have created a true "hybrid" string, the Evah Pirazzi is the first ever to succeed in being an equally outstanding string for both "jazz" pizzicato playing and "classical" arco playing.
I actively engage in both. They have a very natural, even, and warm tone throughout all registers and they record extremely well. I have never been so pleased and have probably tried 20 to 30 different sets and combinations of strings over the years. I have never written to any string manufacturer
for any reason...until now. I want to thank you for finally solving the issues facing the "all-around" bassist...one who enjoys playing, performing, and recording in various musical genres. Eureka!

Warm regards,
Todd Coolman, bassist
