Differentiation between Wondertone Solo, Evah Pirazzi and Obligato
The Wondertone Solo has above all a focused, direct and powerful sound. The Evah Pirazzi and Obligato strings have a wider range of sounds and a more complex tone, whereas the Evah Pirazzi is the most powerful. With the addition of the Wondertone Solo set to our violin string program we now offer musicians an unsurpassed wide range of sound characteristics.

Set
We have developed a steel core A string wound with aluminum as an alternative to the synthetic core A string. The steel core A has a brilliant and very focused tone and allows a smooth transition to the E string. The string combo follows the string choice in the Russian tradition of great soloists such as David Oistrach who used to play on his Strad Pirastro G and D gut strings combined with steel A and E strings.

E-Strings
In addition to the Wondertone Solo E Advanced Steel string, which has already been introduced during the Musikmesse Frankfurt last year, we have developed an additional E steel string in order to optimize the set harmony: Wondertone Solo E Silvery Steel - the sound is brilliant, full and round, up to the high registers. The response is excellent.

Rosin
We advise to use our “Oliv/Evah” rosin (Art. No. 9001) with the Wondertone Solo set.

Violin Evah Pirazzi Set: New E-String Silvery Steel

After the development of the Wondertone Solo Silvery Steel E-String we will use the new steel also for the Evah Pirazzi steel E string. The colour code, the Art. No. and the price will remain the same.




 

 

Double Bass Obligato for tuning in fifths



There is an ever growing group of bassists who is interested playing in fifths so that we have decided to offer our successful Obligato line for tuning in fifths.

In cooperation with renowned bassists we have developed this new set of strings, based on the construction and material of our Obligato line. This string set has a powerful and brilliant sound and an excellent harmony across the strings C-G-D-A. The core material of the A-D-G strings has been co-developed with our supplier and we obtain it exclusively. It has the advantage of offering a powerful and wide range of sounds and is unaffected by changes of temperature and humidity.

We have developed a special rope core for the low C string which gives the string a powerful and brilliant tone with a wide range of sounds. The harmony and playability of the set is outstanding.
